As I was working as a caregiver growing up, I realized that I was willing to care for any person, at anytime of day, no matter what they needed. I didn't worry about what I could get in return because I knew I would be rewarded by my good deeds regardless. And I was. I was taking care of a client in Beverly Hills and this beautiful elderly woman was so on edge and I wondered why. I took her to her favorite place to eat and she opened up to me and apologized for her behavior. She explained to me how horrible she had been treated by her past caregivers! I couldn't believe it! She told me that she calls caregivers KILLGIVERS! Because she felt that the intention of (these people) was to come and kill all elderly! From that day on I vowed to myself that any elderly person that I came in contact with would understand the true meaning of a caregiver, and that is why we are here solely to care for you!
